A: Jimmie Foxx, of the Boston Red Sox, who coaxed six free passes from the St. Louis Browns on June 16, 1938.

Foxx is the only modern player to draw six walks in a nine-inning game, though Walt Wilmot turned the feat for the Chicago Colts on August 22, 1891.

More recently, Jeff Bagwell walked six times for the Houston Astros in 1999, and Bryce Harper did the same for the Washington Nationals in 2016, though both of those games went extra innings.
